Scotland’s 13 universities have joined forces to create the www.university-technology.com website to promote technology transfer and make university technologies easier to access by business & industry.

The website showcases the latest technology licensing opportunities available from all Scottish Universities in one convenient location. Interested visitors are invited to register to receive ‘technology alerts’ - automatic email updates on new technologies in specified sectors (biotech, opto-electronics, energy etc) as soon as they are posted.

The site was launched in April 2004. In the four years it has been running, www.university-technology.com has attracted over 950 subscribers to the technology alert service from 65 countries worldwide.
