New independent remediation company launched
A team of highly qualified project managers, engineers, chemists and remediation specialists have set up a new company to provide remediation service across the UK.
Soil and Water Remediation will provide tailor-made, independent soil, groundwater and ecological remediation solutions from its network of offices using a wide range of techniques, from traditional civil engineering to sophisticated bioremediation.
The new company also has extensive experience in managing domestic and commercial hydrocarbon spillages in the UK and overseas. As well as handling the spillage, its engineers will liaise with the Environment Agency on the issues involved, providing loss adjusters and insurers with a comprehensive solution.
Soil and Water’s ecological specialists can address everything from wildlife mitigation (e.g. bat habitats or great crested newts on site) to removing invasive species such as Japanese Knotweed. After carrying out a site survey, they will advise on the optimum solution to meet statutory requirements while avoiding costly development delays.
The company is already working on projects for a number of well-known organisations. It has its own fully equipped workshop, where staff service and maintain all equipment. This means customers are guaranteed that fully working pumps and other equipment will arrive on site every time, avoiding costly delays.
“We set up the new company because we believed there was a gap in the market for someone who could provide independent, practical, and cost-effective solutions,” explains Brian Graham, director of Soil and Water Remediation.
“We understand the challenges developers face when working within tight timescales and budgets on difficult sites. We carry out a thorough assessment to ensure we choose the best solution to enable them to deliver their project successfully while meeting all statutory and safety requirements.
“Our advice is totally impartial, as we are not tied to any service or equipment provider. Our team’s extensive experience enables us to provide innovative, practical and effective solutions to any soil, water or ecological remediation issue.”
