Perpetuum achieves ISO9001 quality management standard
Perpetuum,
the world leaders in practical, vibration energy harvesting technology,
is pleased to announce it has achieved the internationally recognised ISO9001:2000
certification. The accreditation means that customers can be assured of
the company’s commitment to the quality of its service and products,
which are a key enabling technology for wireless sensing.
“Focusing on quality is important for our customers, and being awarded
this accreditation is a key milestone for us,” says Rich Mangan, Director,
Perpetuum. “We have been working towards this standard for four months
and we are proud to have achieved it first time.”
Perpetuum’s energy harvesting microgenerators are being used to power
additional sensing points for existing condition monitoring and make possible
a wide range of new condition monitoring and Asset Management applications.
A working example of the power of Perpetuum’s PMG17 will be clearly
displayed at Sensors Expo, Rosemont IL, 12-13 June on booth 429.
The PMG17 microgenerator converts the vibration of equipment running on
mains frequency (50 or 60Hz) into electrical energy and can generate enough
energy to power a wireless transmitter sending up to 6Kbytes of critical
condition monitoring data every few minutes, or smaller amounts of data,
several times a second. This eliminates the need for batteries and expensive
wiring.
