Ideal Industries’ new 920 Series Ground Resistance Tester allows electricians to make a quick and easy check of the grounding system in a fraction of the time required for traditional testing. Its simple ‘clamp-on and read’ operation saves considerable time and effort on site, and is safer too.

Traditionally, a three-point fall test is used to check the grounding system. This involves disconnecting the conductor and rod, then using electrodes placed 30 meters or more away to measure resistance. It is time-consuming, and can be awkward to do. Ideal’s new 920 Series Tester requires no disconnection of the grounding rod, no leads and no auxiliary rods; it is simply clamped in place to produce a direct reading in seconds.

The 920 Series Ground Resistance Tester provides direct measurement of ground resistance up to 1,200Ω and up to 30A AC leakage current. It can be used on any conductor up to 32mm diameter, and has a built-in memory that can save up to 99 separate readings. The bright, back-lit display is easy to read in all conditions and there are an audible alarms for continuity and resistance.

The 920 Series Ground Resistance Tester is supplied complete with protective case, calibration loop, user manual and four AA batteries.
