Ideal’s industry standard Custom Stripmaster® gets an update
Global
production tools manufacturer Ideal Industries’ has
launched the new Ergo-Elite Stripmaster® hand-held wire
stripping tool for the aerospace industry. The new wire stripper
is an improved version of Ideal’s Custom Stripmaster®
which has been the premium mil spec stripper in the aerospace
industry for the last 30 years. Ergo-Elite has been ergonomically
engineered to deliver more precise strips with better balance
and comfort for the operator. An innovative ‘one size’
gripping pad makes the product suitable for use with wire
gauges from 10-26 AWG.
The body of the new Ergo-Elite Stripmaster® is made from rigid polyurethane reinforced with carbon fibre. It is therefore durable and strong but weighs only 150 grams – that is 60% lighter than traditional metal hand tools. The tool’s tilted head assembly maintains a neutral wrist posture and allows users an unobstructed view of wire positioning. An ergonomic frame design reduces risk of repetitive strain injury and comfort-grip handles give good leverage and reduce pressure point distress for the user.
Featuring patented two-piece constructed blades and a one-step stripping action, Ergo-Elite’s advanced blade design acts as a wire guide system which ensures a quality strip and eliminates potential scraping of the inner conductor. Swiveling blade compartment doors allow for quick blade changeover, reducing down time and increasing productivity.
“Ideal has set the industry standard in hand-held, precision wire stripping for over 60 years. Through this experience we have been able to improve our popular Custom Stripmaster® to continue to meet the wire stripping needs of those working in a modern aerospace industry. Ergo-Elite’s functionality and durability deliver real improvements to the user in terms precision, quality and comfort in practical everyday applications.”
