Freshwater kicks off its Academy tour in Hampshire
Freshwater,
the UK’s fastest growing PR consultancy network chose Hampshire to
kick off a series of regional seminars to showcase the services of its training
arm, Freshwater Academy.
The seminar, which was held at Hotel du Vin in Winchester on Wednesday 20th
May, was hosted by Freshwater Technology, the Romsey-based technology PR
specialist of the Freshwater group.
John Underwood, an ex-BBC and Channel Four journalist, head of Freshwater
Academy and a Freshwater Board Director, led the session entitled: ‘Communicating
in a crisis: how to keep control of the message’. Invited delegates
were told how to recognise a crisis, top tips for successful communications,
and the pitfalls to avoid.
Rachel Owen, Managing Direct of Freshwater Technology said: “The way
you manage a crisis can make or break an organisation's reputation. It is
important to be ready to deal with the communications issues.”
John and his team at Freshwater Academy advise organisations and individuals
across Europe on communication and campaign issues. They offer tailored
training, coaching and consultancy in a range of communication skills.
Freshwater Academy’s regional tour continues with seminars to be held
in Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Glasgow and Sheffield.
