Freshwater Technology - the new name for Black & White Communications
Romsey-based technology PR specialist, Black & White Communications, has re-branded as Freshwater Technology.
The announcement follows the company’s take-over by Freshwater, the UK’s fastest-growing national PR network, in March 2006. Black & White provides specialist technology PR for the group, which already offers health and consumer specialisms from its offices across the UK.
Joining the Freshwater group has meant that Black & White has been able to expand its portfolio of services to include in-house design, media buying and training.
Rachel Owen, founder and Managing Director of Black & White Communications, who continues as Managing Director of Freshwater Technology, said: “Rebranding to become Freshwater Technology is the next logical step for us.
“We will continue to bring our unique combination of technical and PR skills to technology clients in engineering, IT, telecoms and high-tech from our offices in Romsey.”
The company’s portfolio includes high-tech spin-outs from the University of Southampton - Perpetuum, Mesophotonics and SPI Lasers - and established engineering names such as Morgan Technical Ceramics and Chloride Power Protection.
In 2006 Freshwater UK celebrated its sixth consecutive year of profitable growth, increasing turnover by 78% to £4.1 million between 2005 and 2006.
