Three
employees from Romsey-based technical PR consultancy,
Freshwater Technology., raised more than
£500 for Cancer Research at the charity’s
10K run at Stratford Saye House on Sunday. Rachel Owen,
Paula Kerry, and Chris King, joined 350 others on a
lap of the stately home’s ground to raise money
for the charity.
Rachel, Paula and Chris, who have
been training since July, were cheered on by family
and friends and have been touched by the generosity
of their supporters. “I’m delighted that
we’ve been able to raise money for such a worthwhile
cause,” explains Paula, Financial Manager at Black
& White. “I’ve never run in an event
before so I was slightly apprehensive at first, but
it felt great to cross the finish line and to know it
will make a difference to others.”
The run is part of a series of events taking place in
the grounds of stately homes across the UK during September
and October. For further information visit www.cancerresearchuk.org/10k.
