NEW GXS DRY SCREW VACUUM PUMPS ENABLE INDUSTRIAL PROCESS OPTIMISATION WITH LOW COST OF OWNERSHIP
CRAWLEY, UK (30 June 2010) — Edwards, a leading global supplier of vacuum and abatement equipment and services, has launched a new range of dry pumps which delivers high vacuum performance and enables full process integration. The compact GXS pump features unique screw technology and enables users to optimise their processes resulting in a low cost of ownership and a reduced footprint.
The GXS is robust and reliable. It has a long pump service life of up to five years and is virtually maintenance free, even in harsh applications. The pump mechanism can be cleaned easily using the high flow purge and solvent flush accessory, which removes the need to partially strip the pump. This also decreases costly downtime associated with using alternative products that require manual cleaning.
The pump provides faster pump down compared to competitive products and gives ultimate vacuum down to 1x10-3 mbar (7.5x10-4 Torr). This results in optimum performance in a variety of applications from light duty through to load-lock and harsh process.
The pump design incorporates a number of innovative features which contribute to its smooth quiet running, excellent vacuum performance and low running cost. The shafts on the GXS are supported at both ends for increased rigidity, resulting in improved dust handling, reduced vibration and noise levels below 64 dB(A).
The GXS pump enables users to minimize their environmental impact as it has reduced gas and power consumption. The motor is matched to the inverter to give up to 15 per cent efficiency improvement compared to current designs, which further reduces the cost of ownership. All pumps are fitted with a controller as standard, providing users with reduced installation cost and enhanced control features including stand-by for reduced utility consumption, pressure control and start-up and shutdown routines. GXS pumps may be linked to customers dedicated process controllers for full system integration.

Les nouvelles pompes à vide sèches à vis Edwards GXS permettent d’optimiser les procédés industriels et de réduire les coûts de possession
CRAWLEY, UK (30 Juin 2010) — Edwards, qui est un des leaders mondiaux en Technologie du Vide a lancé une nouvelle gamme de pompes sèches qui associent des performances en vide de tout premier plan à une grande facilité d’intégration dans les systèmes de procédés. Les pompes GXS sont compactes et utilisent une technologie à vis exclusive. Elles permettent aux utilisateurs d’optimiser leurs procédés et de réduire leur coût de possession.
Les GXS sont robustes et fiables. Elles ont une longue autonomie de fonctionnement, pouvant atteindre 5 ans et ne nécessitent pratiquement pas de maintenance, même dans les applications difficiles. Le mécanisme de pompage se nettoie aisément en utilisant la purge à grand débit ou l’accessoire pour rinçage aux solvants, ce qui évite de devoir démonter partiellement la pompe. Cette possibilité permet également de réduire les couteuses périodes d’arrêt imposées par le nettoyage manuel parfois requis par d’autres matériels.
Les pompes GXS assurent un pompage plus rapide que certains produits concurrents et permettent d’atteindre un vide limite de 1x10-3 mbar (7.5x10-4 Torr). Ceci les rend particulièrement performantes dans de nombreuses utilisations, qu’il s’agisse d’applications simples, de pompage de sas ou de procédés difficiles.
Les pompes intègrent, dans leur conception, des caractéristiques innovantes qui contribuent à leur assurer un fonctionnement souple et silencieux, d’excellentes performances et un faible coût de fonctionnement. Sur les GXS, les axes des rotors sont soutenus à leurs deux extrémités de façon à assurer une plus grande rigidité ce qui améliore le pompage des gaz poussiéreux, réduit les vibrations et le niveau sonore jusqu’à moins de 64 dB(A).
Les GXS permettent à leurs utilisateurs de réduire leur impact sur l’environnement grâce à une consommation réduite d’électricité et de gaz. Le moteur associé à un convertisseur procure une efficacité accrue jusqu’à 15% par rapport aux conceptions traditionnelles, ce qui réduit encore le coût de possession. Le nuove pompe a vite GXS permettono l’ottimizzazione del processo con un basso costo di mantenimento.
CRAWLEY, UK (30 Giugno 2010) — Edwards, azienda leader nella tecnologia del vuoto, ha lanciato sul mercato il nuovo range di pompe a secco a vite GXS che fornisce eccellenti prestazioni in vuoto e una piena integrazione con i processi. La nuova pompa, con il suo design a vite innovativo e l’ingombro ridotto, consente agli utilizzatori di ottimizzare il processo riducendo anche i costi di mantenimento.
La pompa GXS è robusta e affidabile e può operare fino a cinque anni praticamente in assenza di manutenzione anche in presenza di processi gravosi. Il meccanismo della pompa può essere pulito facilmente tramite un dispositivo di spurgo ad alta efficienza e, con l’aggiunta dell’accessorio per il flussaggio dei solventi si evitano inoltre eventuali smontaggi parziali della pompa diminuendo anche i costosi tempi di inattività associati all'uso di prodotti alternativi, che richiedono una pulizia manuale.
La pompa dispone di una eccellente velocità di pompaggio, migliore se comparata ad altri tipi di pompe che hanno capacità simili, e ha un vuoto finale pari a 1x10-3 mbar (7.5x10-4 Torr), tutto ciò si traduce in ottime prestazioni in una ampia varietà di applicazioni dalle più leggere fino al load-lock ed infine a quelle più gravose.
Il design della pompa incorpora una serie di caratteristiche innovative che rende il suo funzionamento silenzioso, fornisce prestazioni eccellenti in vuoto e basso costo di esercizio. Gli alberi sulla GXS sono sostenuti su entrambe le estremità per una maggiore rigidità, con conseguente miglioramento nella gestione delle polveri, la riduzione delle vibrazioni e con rumorosità inferiore a 64 dB(A).
La pompa GXS, con un ridotto consumo di energia e gas, consente agli utilizzatori di ridurre al minimo l’impatto ambientale.
