New compact chemical dry pump range
CRAWLEY,
UK (5th July 2007) - BOC Edwards, leading manufacturer of vacuum equipment,
has launched a new range of compact chemical dry pumps – the CPH™
chemical dry pump series. Industry is under increased pressure to save space
on the plant floor and these pumps are a cost competitive and simple solution,
ideal for use in chemical and pharmaceutical applications. They are fully
ATEX compliant and users can reliably pump a wide range of flammable vapours.
There are two new pumps in the range, the CPH250 chemical dry pump, with
a 250m3/hr throughput, and the CPH400 chemical dry pump, with
a 400m3/hr capacity. Both offer excellent pumping speeds from
atmospheric pressure down to an ultimate pressure of less than 0.5mbar.
They are also available as pre-engineered pump and booster combinations
with BOC Edwards’ popular EH range of mechanical boosters to give
a compact package with pumping speeds up to 2,700m3/hr and a
low ultimate pressure which is well suited to applications such as solvent
drying.
“Traditional pump systems can often be bulky,” says John Skeates,
business development manager, BOC Edwards. “Our new pump and system
designs mean we can offer customers a neat, fit-and-forget solution that
is easy to install.”
The CPH chemical dry pump series is designed, manufactured and tested in
accordance with international standards for pumping flammable materials,
and is ATEX compliant.
The CPH chemical dry pump series builds on BOC Edwards’ long history
of developing innovative dry pumping solutions, and the experience gained
from having over 100,000 pumps installed worldwide. The existing DP &
EDP series pumps are available for advanced liquid handling and temperature
management applications.
