DEM Manufacturing (part of Alpha 3 Manufacturing) has extended its bes power distribution range with the PDU14, a new high-current 14-output unit that offers 25% more power than traditional devices. The new PDU14 is designed to service the growing trend of higher package density in broadcast and video equipment, and the increasing number of separately powered pieces of equipment in a rack.

The new unit is the first to offer 14 IEC power outlets, with a total current rating of 20 Amps, 25% more than the industry standard of 16 Amps.

Other key features include a robust construction and sturdy tie bar for reliable wire looming. The unit is available as switched or unswitched and each output is individually fused with the fuse-failure indication. Users can have the unit supplied with or without a designation strip mounted on the front panel.
